#1 Listen to your body and trust your senses
In the sauna, you should feel comfortable. At the first signs of dizziness, lethargy, or nausea, your body is telling you that it's too much, so step out for some fresh air and take a cold shower. Recommended sauna sessions last between 10 and 15 minutes.
#2 Follow the thermal cycle
A sauna session involves going through a complete cycle: Fire (sauna), Air (oxygenation), Water (cold shower), and Earth (rest). Rest should be at least 35 minutes, during which the body returns to its optimal operating temperature.
#3 Hydrate
It is essential to drink water before and immediately after the sauna. Liquids and fruits after the sauna session help to vitaminize the body.
However, be careful: avoid energy drinks, alcohol, caffeine, or tobacco.
