For thousands of years, plants have been the essence of healing and balance across the world's most diverse cultures. For 14 days, the Herbarium Festival brings these global treasures together in one place: Therme București.
On the Elysium terrace, the Herbarium Expo awaits you. It is a space where nature becomes pure inspiration. Discover botanical cosmetics, tinctures, infusions, and essential oils crafted with care and mastery by renowned artisans of plant based skincare. Furthermore, at the Herbarium Expo, you can take part in educational workshops and live demonstrations.
To complete your wellness journey, visit our Hydration Point. Here, you can sample infused waters and functional drinks specially designed to boost your hydration and help your body recover after your sauna sessions.
Participation in the Herbarium Festival is included in the Elysium area access ticket.
IMPORTANT! Each experience has limited availability and requires a dedicated wristband. Access is granted exclusively with a festival wristband, valid for a single experience. You can collect your wristband for free from the Welcome Point Herbarium, located in the Elysium area – Calla Shower. Wristbands are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Each person is entitled to a limited number of 4 wristbands per day, the first of which will be selected by the Herbarium team. After the spots allocated through wristbands are exhausted, access to the remaining available spots in the sauna will be granted strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

We have curated some of the most fascinating moments from the programme that you simply cannot miss:

• Kyrgyzstan: A journey to the heart of Central Asia through the traditional Kyrgyz Banja, featuring the invigorating aromas of birch.
• Morocco: Discover deeply cleansing Moroccan rituals using Rhassoul clay and espresso beans, or let yourself be carried away by "Arabian Jazz", a sensory infusion blending warm spices and frankincense.
• North America: Experience an authentic ceremony inspired by Native American traditions, centred on heat and botanical infusions at "The Sacred Tea Circle", or relax profoundly during "Echo of the Ancients", a soothing ritual based on forest aromatherapy and acoustic rhythms.
• Europe & The Orient: Breathe in the crispness of coniferous forests in "Forest of Nations" (an olfactory journey from the Carpathians to Scandinavia), rediscover classic 11th century European herbal recipes in rituals dedicated to Hildegard von Bingen, or treat your skin to a nourishing "Desert Peeling", inspired directly by Bedouin traditions.
A premiere for both Romania and the Herbarium Festival, plants, the elements of nature, and the heat of the saunas come to life to the chords of live music. Experience unique Aufguss moments, where nature-themed video projections in the Hollywood Sauna blend perfectly with live instruments, creating a total immersion.
Corina, Arthur & Cristi – Handpan & Live Voice Deep vibrations and captivating rhythms during the Aufguss rituals, sustained across 3 different performances:
1) A Journey through Water: A fluid and captivating sonic journey, where the voice, handpan, x-frame, jaw harp, caval, and flute blend into an absolute auditory experience.
2) A Journey through Fire: A special experience defined by rhythm and intensity. With the help of the voice and elemental instruments, a powerful, unmissable soundscape is born!
3) A Journey through Earth: A meditative musical journey that invites you to slow down and reconnect with Mother Nature. Rooted in ancestral, breath-like sounds, this moment offers a space of stillness, presence, and belonging.

Over the weekends of 8-10 and 15-17 May, nature becomes the best partner for play and relaxation in all Therme areas. An exploration space dedicated to the whole family, Herbarium LAB brings the botanical universe closer to you through creative workshops and thematic workshops, created in collaboration with the Faculty of Horticulture. You will discover the secrets of nature through educational herbarium sheets, Ikebana workshops with exotic plants, creating floral artwork through the Oshibana technique, and discovering aromas through sensory analyses of mint or lavender essential oils. Furthermore, you can rediscover traditional recipes, such as preparing elderflower juice, and you can learn fascinating curiosities about Romanian orchids.
The connection with nature is complemented by interactive wellness experiences: from herbal and plant-based cosmetic treatments held in the Galaxy Relax wet saunas, to gentle "foam skincare" rituals designed especially for the little ones, Herbarium LAB is the perfect bridge between education, relaxation, and the curiosity to explore.
